NappyWise

Why I Started NappyWise
Before I had my son, I learned at a friend’s baby shower just how long disposable nappies can remain in landfill. It stuck with me.
When I became a mum, I also saw firsthand how quickly nappies and wipes added up — both in cost and in our bin. I wanted to try Modern Cloth Nappies, but I was honestly nervous about getting started.
The support of other mums who were already using cloth made all the difference. They helped me realise it didn’t have to be complicated, and I didn’t have to do everything perfectly.
NappyWise grew from wanting to pay that support forward.
Our workshops and community education focus on fit, absorbency, and leak-free confidence. We work closely with councils and local organizations to deliver hands-on support that truly works for you, ensuring no one feels left behind in the transition to cloth.
What helped me start wasn’t more pressure — it was having someone show me how. That’s the kind of support I want NappyWise to give other families.
Meet Iman

Hi, I’m Iman, the mum behind NappyWise. My background is in pharmacy and education, and I’ve always had an interest in practical health, sustainability and helping people understand information that can otherwise feel overwhelming.
After becoming a mum and discovering Modern Cloth Nappies for myself, that experience eventually grew into NappyWise. I later joined Hume City Council’s Environmental Champions program, where I developed the idea further and began bringing Modern Cloth Nappy education into the community.
Today, I run practical workshops and community sessions designed to give families the information, hands-on experience and confidence to make their own choices about cloth.
